Think more unnatural.

I have always wanted to do something crazy to my hair, but not too crazy. Purple for some reason has always drawn me in. I love how people have lilac/pastel purple hair, but I don't think I could pull it off. Instead of going full on purple, I decided to just put it into my natural hair, no bleaching or lightening. I didn't want to lose my natural hair color if I bleached it because I still want my hair to be natural for my wedding. I figured this is the best time to do any kind of dying to my hair because I'm still in college and I can do whatever the heck I want!

My hair was a light brown before I dyed it. It sometimes had a reddish tint to it, which you can kind of see in the second picture below. I like my natural color, don't get me wrong, I just wanted to experiment a little.

BEFORE

Below are all my supplies. I spent about $25 at Sally's Beauty Supply, not too bad. At a salon it would be a bunch more! I used Ion Color Brilliance and it took me about three hours to do everything, mainly because this was my first time doing my own hair. It was actually my first time dying my hair. (I used a box one time but it didn't change anything.)

I looked so hawt.

AFTER
It didn't turn out like I had hoped, but it's growing on me. You can only see the purple in certain areas and in the light. You can see more purple in the picture below on the top of my head and my bangs. It mainly just made my hair darker and a little gray.

I was debating on lightening it and then doing another tube of purple, or even just doing more purple, but I decided I'd see how I liked it like this for a while. It's semi-permanent dye, so it won't last too long.

 OH, BY THE WAY :
Go Patriots!

(Yes, he's in a Raven's jersey not Patriots, but he's still cheering them on!)
